Hilton Head Plantation

Hilton Head Plantation is one of the earlier residential communities developed and the second largest with 4000 families. Property owners pay association dues that include 24 hour gated security, 12 Har Tru tennis courts, swimming pool and access to the beach.

The community offers 4 privately owned 18 hole golf clubs. Bear Creek, the plantations finest club offers a very limited private membership.

The course boast bent grass greens and a wonderful layout. Tee times are not needed and the amount of play is light

The other private club is Dolphin Head Golf Club to which membership is available to residents. This course was designed by Gary Player and is considered very user friendly to its patrons.
The other to courses are semi private. Oyster Reef was built in 1982 and was designed by Rees Jones. The club is now member owned with a limited number of tee times for guest play. Its number 6 hole may be one of the most spectacular par three’s in the region with Port Royal sound in its backdrop.

The newest course is The Country Club of Hilton Head designed by Rees Jones and built in 1985.

Hilton Head Plantation is the 1st plantation you come to after you come onto the Island. Homes for sale begin at the mid $400,000. Upward to $1 million plus. The community is known for its family living and is a favorite for many business owners. Numerous clubs and activities provide a lot for active families.
